Getting 240p on 31KHz CRT Monitor with MME4CRT
#1
Hi everyone,

I installed Mubuntu-MME4CRT-desktop-amd64-v1.iso on my Core2Quad PC
and it seems great.

I'm using it with a CRT 19" Trinitron PC Monitor (VGA)
So I launched the "31K install" from the "start menu" and "games", and then rebooted and launched Retroarch.
Once inside if I try loading a rom it works but does not switch to low resolutions.

Myabe I connect the monitor at the wrong timing?
or I need a tool similar to VMM for Linux to generate resolutions first??

Is there a tutorial or something?

Thank you very much

Double check the settings in RetroArch.

Enable advanced options then check the crt menu ensure 31khz is selected and your super resolution is choosen.

Thank you for the reply. After some tweaking it's working overall and the scanlines are pretty.
But strangely, some roms will load just fine with the correct display, and some other roms,
sometimes within the same core, will make the monitor go out of range (black screen with OSD message)
Is there a way to make it work consistently please?
Also it always fails to return to the desktop without going out of range.
I guess I need to wait
